Great service! Food tastes amazing! It is very hard to find a very good quality restaurants, with awesomely flavorful food, in between all of these fast food restaurants on the Boardwalk. Well, Shenanigans it might be the only one real top restaurants on the OC Boardwalk. I would definitely come back here every time I would visit again Ocean City. Congrats to the business owner or whoever is responsible for the management of this place. They have a great reservation system. I loved the way it works. They would text you as soon as the table is ready! Great! The price is pretty good as well.

Not good at customer service at all, my group and I went down for some drinks later in the night when their kitchen was closed. Nobody bothered to tell us where to go or what to do to put in the order. Finally we were YELLED at by a waiter to go wait along the rail on the opposite side of the bar. Even then, we anticipated someone proactively taking our order, we waited 10 minutes before the (overworked) bartender even acknowledged us. I think my drink was ok, but one of my friends got a Peach Bellini and there was barely any taste of peach in it. Portions and quality were too small to justify the price. I'm sure on a normal day they're not bad, but avoid on Sunday nights at all costs. EDIT: Thanks Greg, was not really expecting a response from the owner, but I'm pleased to hear that you are open to feedback. That's a sign of good business. I think just reminding your staff that not everyone has eaten there before and therefore that not everyone knows how their process works would be prudent. Thanks again for showing you care.

Terrible service. We asked to a table outside in the shade. They gave us the table by the door which was up on the deck and very busy. We asked to be moved to another table that was empty and they said it was being held fora larger party. They tried putting us in tables in the sun and the older lady, manager I assume, made a nasty face and walked away. As we were leaving another group was also leaving and told us it was the worst meal and service they ever had. We would not recommend this place.

One of my favorite hangouts when visiting OCMD! The staff are always friendly and make you feel like a local. The food is comforting and delicious. Best place to grab a seat and meet new friends.

Great food, nice seating outside. I got the crab cake appetizer which was very good, shepherds pie and my girlfriend got the French Dip. Both were great, took a little bit of time to get the food, they did have a lot of people but weren't packed. Will eat there again when we get up there again, didn't expect them to shorten there kitchen hours to 9:30 3 days after Labor Day so we had to eat at another restaurant till we could come back the next day.

Disappointing service is the cause for this lower than average rating. It would have been SO much faster to just saddle up to the bar and directly order than sit at a beachside booth, basking in the sun waiting for a cold drink...all I can say is it must be the location that keeps this place going cause it isn't their service! Won't be back, too many other places to try:)

The beer list is fantastic and our waiter Daniel was running his tail off as they were extremely short staffed... He did great and should be commended! The food was above average, I was a little disappointed in the scallop entree but my girlfriend had the surf and turf and was perfect.. Overall nice atmosphere great beer and good food!

We came here for drinks and to get away from the blistering sun. The hosts and bartenders were very friendly. It is right on the boardwalk which is perfect.

Being white as sour cream, and not into melanoma, it's become a tradition of mine to pull up a stool in this place and drink Guinness while the ol' Lady bakes on the beach literally a hundred yards away. Decent music, football on TV and they KNOW HOW TO POUR GUINNESS. I tip if I get a whole pint. Someday I may try the food.

Turned into our favorite hangout from our hotel! The food is so good and there is something for every taste. Great fish and chips! Great cocktail selection with excellent taste. Perfect for a drink coming off the beach!

Service was impressive....ordered our lunch and our food arrived almost immediately.! I thought that they had made a mistake when it arrived. While I can't rave about the crabcake that I had, the service received makes up for the meh lukewarm sandwich.

Shenanigans is wonderful, lively and the staff is very friendly! It's a little authentic Irish-run gem at the heart of the Boardwalk. I come at least twice a year, sometimes more, for the seasonal Rovers shows and the staff make a point to remember you, and the food isn't half-bad, either (they have a great shepherd's pie!) And also a wonderful liquor/beer selection, as a good Irish pub should. All of the food is hearty and always comes out steaming, and you can usually coax the bar to still make you entrees after it turns in to a bar. And there's an inn right overhead, so it reminds me even more of staying in the inn-pubs in Ireland! Stay up! Drink late! Be merry and stumble back to your room in the wee hours! Or not!

Came here for dinner with a group of people and we a good experience. We started out with guiness fries and the downfall was that we asked if they could add cheese on it, and they couldn't do that. I don't understand why. That would have made it so much better. The gravy was delish. Pizza fries were also ordered and they were ok. Not bad- but nothing special. Most of us ordered the crab mac and cheese and that truly was delicious. I would highly recommend that. My friend got the shepards pie which was good but I've had better. Our other friend got the tacos and he said they were also good. Prices were reasonable and it was a good atmosphere right on the boardwalk. They have outdoor seating.

Not very good food here. Had to send my burger back for being over cooked. Atmosphere is good for a group and light beers on draft are inexpensive. I would probably stick to a sandwich instead of a burger if I came back a second time.

A pub on the boardwalk that tries to make it a fun night on any day of the week. I went in on a Sunday and they had dueling pianos. There's outside seating and a lot of space in the inside. Also have tv's for sports games. I got here signature frozen green drink which was decent. Overall a decent bar to stop by when you're on the boardwalk.

I'm updating this to 4 stars since the owner got back to me. It always says a lot when the owner cares enough to respond. I'll chalk my experience up to a one time deal. We'll give them another shot.

I come here for the jumbo spicy soft pretzels. Also really liked the turkey bacon club on a pretzel roll. Really like going here when there is live music, especially when they get Irish bands.

Lump Crab Cake Sandwich was great, awesome flavor. Only complaint is towards the waiting staff that could not remember our orders, forgot drinks, and was not very prompt on asking how our service was. The prices were a little high, but is expected for a beachfront restaurant.

CRAB MAC AND CHEESE. Top reason to visit this bar and we were not disappointed. The creamy delicious cheese with crab was a great find and definitely worth a visit to the bar. We ordered the pizza and Guinness gravy fries. Waffle fries were yummy and enjoyed the marinara as well. I had some issue with the restrictions on ordering. We asked for cheese on our fries but the server insisted management would not allow cheese to be put on anything. She was very insistent that putting cheese on things was not allowed. Yet the pizza fries were served with cheese on top. Also seating was a bit cramped when they shove six adults into a booth. Very popular place so expect a wait!

Came here with family on a slow Monday evening, and it was taking forever to get food out. I ordered my 2 year old the Pot of Gold off the kids menu. Very simple to make as nothing needed to be cooked on it. Simply goldfish (in a bag like you would get in a multipack at wal-mart) applesauce, apple slices, grapes, and carrot and celery sticks. The food was taking forever to come out and my toddler was starting to get antsy so I simply asked my server if we could get her meal out really quick as it needs no cooking and it just has to be thrown together. The server said that she couldn't do that as she had put the table as one check and couldn't separate it(?) so she said she'd try to bring out a roll and disappears into the back. 10-15 minutes later, my toddler is still screaming at this point because she is hungry, and all of the sudden the food comes out and l just get a snarky oh sorry I couldn't bring that out sooner from my server. What I don't understand is why couldn't you just bring it out for her if it literally took the kitchen less than 5 minutes to put it together? Oh and the crab Mac and cheese that I spent $14 on was very bland. All in all not too thrilled with the service here and I would think twice about coming again when I vacation in OC MD.

This is a typical Irish pub for tourists. Not the place you hang out in, throwing darts once in a while, singing Finnegan's Wake and escaping the shining bright light of sobriety. We had drinks on the porch to watch the people on the boardwalk, but I did dip in to check out the atmosphere. Lots of Irish-themed stuff on the wall, but it could easily have been renovated to look like a Perkins or 50's style diner. That is to say it had a very restaurant-y feel, and not a PUB feel. Also, it was very bright in there. They should give up and call it "Shenanigan's Irish Restaurant". But the beer was good (Guinness poured correctly and even with a shamrock on top) and the food looked pretty good too (we had already eaten). The staff was nice and friendly, and I would go back for a beer when I'm in the area.

We eat here every time we are in Ocean City. I had the steak and it was delicious. Food and service is always excellent. And a great view of the boardwalk and beach if you eat outside. Great spot!

Servers were very friendly and helpful. Menu consists of many Irish classics, which were executed fine. I recommend the Crab mac 'n' cheese which was really good, French fries also good. Beer selection was varied so all were happy.

Shenanigan's is one of my favorite places to eat in Ocean City and I visit it every time I vacation here. I love the casual atmosphere and the outdoor dining is spectacular with the boardwalk and ocean views. The menu is like extensive, and there is something to please everybody. Also, I loved the drink coasters because they offered funny suggestions for your leprechaun name. For an appetizer, the pizza waffle fries and the hog wings are always a huge hit. I highly recommend the macaroni and cheese with crab and the salmon. The food was freshly prepared and the waiter was friendly and attentive. The only downfalls were that the benches that served as outdoor seating was a bit sticky and the bathrooms required some attention. However, everything was delicious and I will definitely be back again. If you're looking for pub food with an Irish twist, be sure to visit Shenanigan's and take advantage of the view with outdoor seating.

I can't say enough how good the food is. Yesterday I had the stuffed Salmon, rice and steamed vegetables and my wife had the crab sandwich, both were outstanding. Our meal was so good that we ate there again the next night. We couldn't decide what to get so we shared the crab cakes and the crab Mac n cheese. Both were to die for. So delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants an excellent place to eat at OC

Crab cake and fish & chips did go great after swimming. Good selection of beers, kind and helpful staff, service was pretty quick, it was crowded but they did a good job on tuning the music volume level. I liked this place, great to go after swimming!

We came here on a Friday night around 7:30PM and there was a line to the hostess booth, but we were seated right away with no wait. Our waiter Owen C was awesome and very accomdating, as well as funny. He joked with us and we had a really nice time. The food was good too!

We stop in for dinner every year and I have never been disappointed. The crab Mac & cheese and soft crab BLT are my favorite. Very good service and reasonably priced. Clean place, friendly people all at a good price.

We had lunch at Shennigan's on Mother Day and it was fantastic. Food was good, drinks awesome, same with the service. So yesterday we stop by to get a table outside, watch the air show, have a few drinks and some sandwiches. There were empty tables on the deck but we were told a 30 minute wait. 30 minutes when they have empty tables?? Very disappointing.

We ate at this place for lunch two days in a row because it was close to our hotel and we had a good experience. We tried different food both days and had good results both times. Both of our servers were nice and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and our kids really enjoyed it. The lady (who I think was the manager) was extremely friendly and when she walked in the bathroom to find me flushing my sons eyes (because he got sunblock in them) she quickly asked if everything was alright and offered saline rinse if we wanted it. Later she came by our table to check on him also. We walked right in wearing our swimsuit cover ups and didn't feel out of place. Our kids thought the jokes that were on the tv displays were funny and they enjoyed reading them. Great experience and we would definitely go back!

This was one of our best meals while on vacation. And the entertainment is a blast! I ordered mussels and they were great. Hubby ordered shepards pie which was very filling and satisfying. For an app, we had some do which I can't remember what it was but it was yummy. We didn't leave a drop of that!

This place is awesome! Want a quiet meal? Don't come here. Why is it great? 1. The pizza fries are sinful! 2. Flahterys chicken perfectly cooked, bbq sc is $ 3. HOLY COLESLAW! 4. Raviolis unreal good, wait isn't this an irish place? 5. Craft beer (dogfish head) 6. Amazing frozen drinks 7. Bartenders do tricks, guy flipped a full pint of beer!

We found the bar & grille while strolling the boardwalk after a long day. I had the 1lb ribs (special) and wife had the pretzel turkey sandwhich. My broccoli was cold, but overall both were excellent! Try the Birch root beer.

Didn't have such a good dining experience here. Went with my family last August because I found this place on Yelp and it seemed to have pretty good ratings and the pictures of the food looked fairly good. The first issue I had was that a drink was accidentally knocked over and my waitress didn't even try to help me clean it up. It was spilling all over the table and she wasn't even rushing to get napkins so it began to spill over the side of the table and onto my legs and the floor. When she finally brought extra napkins she just plopped them down in front of me and didn't even try to help me clean up the mess or remove the soaking napkins from the table. When the food arrived all of the fries were cold and hard. I sent mine back and asked for warm fries that weren't hard. The other food didn't taste very good either. It didn't taste fresh, the temperature was also at "been sitting around for a while" status. The waitress was rather unfriendly, and reading another review from 11 months ago I wonder if we had the same waitress because she had a very similar experience. No one liked their food, even my kid who ordered a hot dog wouldn't eat it because he said it was "gross" and hot dog is his middle name. No one really finished their food. It was kind of a "we can't send everything back but we don't want to eat this cold mess" type of scenario. We didn't even want "to go" boxes, we just left everything on the table to be thrown in the trash, paid and left. I don't know if I just came here on a bad night and had a bad waitress because I think I might have dined here as a teenager and had a different experience. Either way the waitress who wouldn't even help me clean up a spilled soda made sure to add 18% gratuity to my check even though there were only 5 of us. (oh and if you're thinking the waitress deserved 18% gratuity because I brought kids --when I say kids I don't mean small kids that drop food all over the floor or make a lot of noise. All of my kids are older, behaved and know my expectations of them when I take them out in public) Won't be going back.

Good food, music and atmosphere! I was a bit disappointed with my mojito at first, but the waitress was very nice, she offered me to choose another drink and did not charge for the first one. The location of the place is very convenient as well.

We look forward to coming here every year, matter of fact we've been known to eat several meals throughout the week here. I have tried many things there but the one thing that sticks in my mind is the crab mac-n-cheese so yummy! It's fresh with real cheese and crab chunks, you can't go wrong. I also recommend the black velvet, it's a smooth and tasty drink.

Good food good service- 4 of us enjoyed a late dinner and stayed for "dueling pianos" show. There were 2 piano players - one young & very talented and one older and well...not so much. We were having a good time but it was hard to overlook the fact that the older musician seemed drunk at times, forgetting words and singing off key. Wouldn't have been so bad but he began to be offensive and inappropriate into his microphone perhaps thinking no one could hear him and we ended up deciding to leave. Good dining/cocktails experience but the fact that one of the entertainers had little class or talent - was a turn off.

Came here for a drink, didn't leave disappointed. Well, maybe a little with their selection. They didn't have belvedere. They didn't have Tennessee honey. Alright, I get it. But the bartender did this cool trick with a bear that I wish I can upload... Ambience is key!

  • Scott S.

Great spot. Mix of Irish pub and beach bar, which could go terribly wrong but actually works here. Better beer selection than you'd expect (only 1 IPA, but at least not just Irish and light beers). Any place you can get a good beer and a beach cocktail (painkiller! ) works for me.

Bangers and Mashed. Garlic mashed potatoes were sooooo good. Sausage was delicious. Paired with a Natty Boh with an Old Bay rim and just sitting on the boards. I was in heaven.

  • Brandon S.

Can you pronounce the frozen drink name? I can't, but it sure is delish. They serve authentic Irish dishes and ice cold Guinness with a 4 leaf clover etched into the foam!!What's more? They are certified by Guinness to make the "perfect pour." On a cool summer night, you can sit out front and stare into the ocean with a cold one in the left and a Shepherds pie in the right. The occasional live Irish bands get a little loud.... But manageable. Deff my favorite Irish pub.

To share, we had the waffle fries with chili and cheese.. it was pretty good... the chili could have used a little kick or spice, but overall the fries satisfied my waffle fries craving. I got the french dip.. when it came out i was super disappointed because the outer edges were extremely dry. But the sandwich wasnt super bad. the au jus was SO salty so i could not dip my sandwich in it.... i asked for horseradish sauce on the side and just ate it with that. My sister had a burger with chili & bacon and she said it was okay and her boyfriend had the shrimp po boy which he said was delicious. Overall, not a bad place to eat on the boardwalk because everywhere else isn't that great either. Would return to try the other waffle fries (pizza!)

The food was just okay. Especially Considering that it is rated as the best pub in Maryland. Seriously? The Hostess was a little rude and that should have been a sign to leave. It's not like there aren't a ton of other options on the boardwalk. The waitress was fine for the most part until one of the people in our party sent their food back because it wasn't hot. How do you screw up a hot dog? No apology on that and Aimee(?) didn't even bother to ask if that person wanted to try something else. Never saw the waitress again after that. Disappointing experience especially since this place came recommended by a colleague. Never again.

This was definitely one of the best meals we had in the OC. We had a short wait at the bar. The beer was ice cold and served in a frosted glass. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. We ordered the chili cheese fries which were great. They filled us up, so we ordered salads, which were excellent as well. I would recommend this as a good stop on the boardwalk. Most of the other restaurants were mediocre.

Went for a walk on the boardwalk today and stopped in here for a cold beer. It was kind of busy not terribly crowded as it is October and we were there in the middle of the afternoon. Went inside and sat at the far end of the bar. That's when we became invisible. We waited, and waited, and waited, and the bartender avoided all eye contact. He was busy, but he managed to get other people at the other end of the bar a couple of drinks while we sat there. Why? Maybe because all of us are in our early 60s, and he had no intention of waiting on us old people. He really should know that older people tip well. We finally walked out and will never be back.

I wouldn't say Shenanigan's is the best restaurant in the world, but it's a yearly tradition ever since we ended up here after our afternoon wedding five years ago. Great location on the boardwalk, decent fish tacos, and always lovely service. The outside tables right by the boardwalk are the best.

    (4)
  • Kelsey C.

This place is the best food on the boardwalk by far. I always enjoy whatever I get, most recently the Shepard's Pie. The Fish Tacos are my absolute favorite though. It's a great atmosphere and I love that they have so much seating either inside or out so the wait is never that long, if any. The drinks are the best - I love the daiquiris!

One of my favorite oc places. Best is to watch Fourth of July fireworks while enjoying a late dinner on the outside patio. Arrive around 9-9:15 and you'll be seated enjoying a cold one when the fireworks start. I like the crab cakes with magners (hard cider from Ireland). Also good is a pork chop topped with a Jameson sauce and what used to be called deadliest catch - a bunch of snow crabs. Mist entrees are served with fresh veggies so can actually get some greens while traVelling.

Had the best waitress ever! Her name is Heather and she deserves a major shout out. This Irish pub has great atmosphere. The staff was inviting and attentive. My party of four ordered the waffle fries with the Guinness gravy as an appetizer. Wow. These were hands down the best fries I have ever had. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. The dinner menu offers a variety of options from seafood to cheeseburgers. I had a turkey burger with a side of their homemade kettle chips. Delicious! On the way out they even gave us pins and golf tees. A nice souvenir after a great meal. Come here with your family and friends and you will not be disappointed.

Ate here on 8/26 with family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We were seated quickly, and got a booth outside. The server was very friendly and attentive, though it was somewhat busy. Food was good, portion size was more than ample and this is a good value -- particularly for the boardwalk. We would definitely come back.

I enjoyed the seafood linguine. Beer is good. And the red velvet cake is a good dessert choice. Hopefully you get Billy C. when you come here, he is a very good server.

This place has great drinks, great music, and a great atmosphere! I never got the chance to enjoy their food. I have heard nothing but great things about their menu. Alcohol is a bit pricey, but that is to be expected for a bar on the boardwalk. The Shillelagh is their signature drink, and it is amazing. The tropical taste mixed with the Irish green atmosphere makes this drink a great way to start your night out. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Stop in the next time you're in OC!

My friend Chris W recommended I try the Bangers and Mashed Potatoes, two large grilled jumbo Irish sausages served over a generous helping of garlic mashed potatoes covered with Guinness gravy and caramelized onions. All five people at our table ordered it. True to his word, the entrée was extraordinary. The sausages were juicy and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were nice. The sauce was so good I could simply dip my dinner roll into it and call it a meal. The Gaelic Garden Plate with its roasted red pepper hummus, homemade black bean dip, seasonal garden vegetables, and toasted flat bread was solid. We liked the hummus and bean dip, but the sausages just won the hearts of everyone at our table.

A regular stop for us. Great outdoor seating, cold drinks, tasty food and always good service! Outdoor booths against the restaurant are perfect for families with small kiddos. Love the burgers, steamed clams and soups.

If you wanna have fun and have a few ice cold brews then this bar is for you! You can't beat their live entertainment or their drink specials! Kid friendly during the day, but tuck the kiddos in and head on over at night :)

we were really looking for a fun beer and food bar grill type of place that might have good fish and chips and with a view of the ocean and this looked right and so we went to the doorway where there is a hostess sitting who apparently does nothing and didn't look up even when we cleared our throats, except a few minutes later when we said "should we seat ourselves?" she then grimaced like we weren't the type of people she wanted to go in to her "cool young people grill", so we looked at each other and said "let's go somewhere else!"

Went here last night with my fiancé, and our kids, my sister her boyfriend, and her daughter, and my dad for dinner. It was on the busy side but we were seated quickly. Our waitress Casey was friendly and efficient. My sister ordered a beachy bellini and said it was ok, my fiance had a sierra Nevada served at an ok temperature, sister's boyfriend, dad and I all ordered Harp. For a so called Irish pub, none of us were impressed with the selection of beer on tap. Also, our Harp had a funky finish, like the tap or the lines needed to be cleaned, but the glasses were beer clean, which is not always the case. We ordered the personal cheese pizzas for 2 kids, and a grilled cheese with chips for the third. We ordered the pizza fries for a start for the adults. The grilled cheese was well cooked, with great bread but needed a little more cheese. The pizza crust was bland and overall kinda blah. The pizza fries were gross, mozzarella on waffle fries with dried Italian seasoning, and a side of marinara.... My sister ordered the scallops with rissotto, and we were not impressed, the rissotto was not properly cooked, rissotto should be cooked slowly with liquid added a little at a time to get the creamy texture. This had a ton of cheese added to give it a false creamy texture. The asparagus was ok, and the scallops had little flavor. Dad ordered the poacher boy salmon. He seemed to like it, I thought it was a lot fishier than it should be for being called freah salmon. Sister's boyfriend and my fiance both ordered versions of the "jumbo lump" crabcakes, one had the sandwich, the other had the double crabcake dinner, with rice and asparagus. The crabcakes were ok, I thought there was a lot more filler, and less lump meat and more backfin. Flavor over all was decent. I had a bowl of the Maryland crab soup, it was pretty good, but a lot of liquid and not a lot of veggies. The veggies seemed like they came out of a frozen bag of mixed veggies. There were a few chunks of backfin crab and had ok crab flavor. I had the fish and chips, the haddock was ok, but I think that the fish was a pre breaded frozen filet, the bottom of the fish had a pattern common on the battered fish you buy from a box, and would not tear apart. It could barely even be cut with a knife. The waffle fries were ok. Casey was great but the kitchen seemed slow. It took a pretty long time for our orders to come out. I would not come back unless it was my only option.

Terrible service... Awful welcome from hostess; she was rude when she was talking to us. We really felt that she didn't want to host us. Somebody should teach her "Thank you" and "please" that she never used. We hated the server; as soon as she came to our table, she started to explain that she can't split the check for parties over 6. We said we will pay with two cards. She said if we can do the math, she can do it. What a rude comment and unnecessary conversation with a guest! I guess she thought we can't do the math. Or it is too much hassle for her. Our guests from Europe found her discriminative. I didn't have silverware and started to eat with my fingers not to wait longer. I had to ask gentleman, who serves with her. I received half way of my dinner. My daughter received her chicken, after 8 of us ate half way. Server just forgot it! She never checked back the table, our glasses never refilled, and we forgot someone is actually serving us. At the end, she didn't forget to charge auto gratuity... She never mentioned or underlined... I guess she assumed she deserves minimum that much. As a F&B Director for 25 years, ı must say she is a shame for any restaurant. I teach F&B restaurant management at University. I will definetely use her and company at "Moments of service-Sour" class. On the other note, foods were average but more than our expectations after this service. Guiness was flat. We liked salads. Burgers and buffalo tenders were okay. Although nothing was special, we could come back to give another chance. After this service, NEVER... Guys, there are much better options at Ocean City, you pay for it and you deserve better service.

This was a surprisingly great find on the boardwalk! We were seated outside and had a great perch for people watching. The service was stellar (which is surprising for such a busy boardwalk restaurant). The steamed shrimp was slightly overcooked but seasoned to perfection. All of the cocktails were great, especially the mojitos. Was impressed by this find and will be back!

If I had to choose one place only to eat at in all of OC, MD, This IS IT! At least in my opinion. This place had the best food hands down. The experience: Hostess gave us a beeper and approximated 20 minutes wait, considering it was a Sat night, I expected an even longer wait. No more than 5 minutes later, the beeper went off and we were seated outside. Service was good, waitress very attentive. I wished I could have been there later as they had a banner advertising a piano bar night or something similar. Menu/Food: I wasn't expecting much out of an Irish place on the boardwalk. Not only were all the menu offerings authentic and all looked good, but everything we ate was top notch delicious. The best thing we ordered was a splurge appetizer: a jalapeno and cheese stuffed pretzel. Our eyes nearly fell out of our head how good this was! BF vowed to make these again for me later. I had the lobster mac & cheese. I wouldn't exactly say "huge chunks of lobster" but it was tasty and satisfying. His hamburger was huge and had all the fixins. I came back here twice over my vacation and only wish I discovered it sooner. I used my coupon for the free frozen green Shelaleigh drink. Potent stuff with 151, and amazing! Order it! I wish there was a Shenanigan's in NoVa!

Just ok food, crappy service. Group of 8 and we ordered the spring rolls appetizer to share. Waitress brought out the plate and there were 2 tiny thumb sized rolls on a plate. Just 2. You'd think the waitress would have the foresight to say "it's a small portion" and suggest something else better for sharing, especially because we were discussing what to get for the table in front of her. So we sent them back and asked for something else better for sharing, which ended up being a stack of waffle fries with a big clump of cheese melted on top and a side of crappy marinara. Waitress had a definite attitude and rushed us, and brought us to-go containers while we were still eating. Fish and chips were ok, but I'm not going back.

Wait staff is friendly and helpful. We did not have to wait for seating even though the place was busy. Drinks were delivered quickly and food was not far behind. Our drinks were almost never empty. This will be my OC hang-out.

Good burgers. Beer selection could have been a little less college-level, but not too bad. This is easily the better place to eat on the boardwalk in OC. Not your usual OC boardwalk tourist trap.

I am giving a 2-star rating only because the food was okay. We ordered a Reuben sandwich and a corned beef sandwich and the corned beef on both was lean and tender. The waffle fries were great but a dollar extra would have sufficed for the extra charge. Because of the fact that there was an apparent battle over which waiter/waitress was supposed to wait our table, our initial service was slow. Now here is the major problem we encountered--we were given our guest check and I saw there was 3 different taxes listed on the bill. One of them was MD alc tax. When the waiter came over, I was just being inquisitive because I had never seen this on a bill before. I said is that a Maryland alcohol tax? He then said ..."Obviously alcohol is taxed." I am a fairly intelligent person and realize alcohol is a luxury. I didn't appreciate or like the way he said it and I was insulted because he spoke to me like I was stupid. Retraining for him or some kind of training could be in order here. I don't go on vacation and spend a lot of money to be insulted.

I wasn't too hungry when we came here for lunch (as recommended by a previous patron). I ended up ordered the yogurt parfait with granola, blueberries, and strawberries. It his the spot. Three of the girls I went with ordered the Noah's Melody and really liked it. The other girl got a cobb salad. No complaints! Nothing spectacular - but a good chill hang out place to eat with a patio or indoor seating.

I'm afraid that, after eating regularly at the Irish Penny in Salisbury, I'm a bit spoiled for Irish Pubs. Shenanigans is NOT an Irish Pub. It's a Bar and Grille with an Irish theme. There is a difference. The atmosphere/decor struck me as a bit worn out, which I guess can be expected from most of the bar/grilles that run along the board walk of OC (i.e. heavy tourist traffic). The decor consists most of Guiness posters and rows of small family crests running along the ceiling. There are wooden tables and chairs decorated with clovers as well as hard wooden booths. The dining area butts right up to the bar, which was rather noisy today as there was a football game on. We had about a 5 minute wait to be seated, which is reasonable for the busy lunch time during which we arrived. They have sizable menu with options you would expect at an Irish pub (Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Mash, Fish n Chips), a few things you'd expect in a seaside resort town (crab cakes, crab mac and cheese), a variety of bar/grille fare (burgers and dogs) and some creative items like Curry topped waffle fries. My boyfriend pointed out that including a "Black and Tan" on the drink menu would be considered offensive in a true Irish Pub because it is a reference to the Royal Irish Constabulary Reserve Force (nicknamed "Black and Tans" for the color of their uniforms). Our waitress was polite and smiley and patient when I took a bit of extra time to decide on my order (I have some dietary restrictions). I ended up ordering the Shepherd's Pie and my boyfriend ordered the Gallagher's Banger. We started with an order of Onion Rings as an appetizer. They arrived quickly and came with horseradish dipping sauce, which I can't comment on since I won't touch the stuff. The onion rings were crispy on the outside but the onions inside were mushy. I personally prefer an onion ring to have a nice snap to it when you bite into the middle, so I was a little disappointed. We received a large portion of onion rings, suitable for a table of four. The entrees arrived before we had finished with the appetizer. My boyfriend said his Gallagher's Banger (a sausage with onions and peppers on a roll, with mustard) was satisfactory but he was disappointed with the waffle fries, which appeared to be the frozen variety. My Shepherd's Pie (pot roast topped with mashed potatoes and cheese) was good. The pot roast was tender, with a nice rich brown gravy/sauce, but the potatoes on top were a bit pasty rather than fluffy, and there were not many peas/carrots in the roast. The portion sizes were perfect for the prices, which were very reasonable. We had an appetizer, a beer, and two meals for around $35.00. We did have some trouble getting the check when our waitress disappeared on us, but other than that the service was good. I'm giving this a 3 out of 5. This would be a great place to bring the family if you're in OC for the weekend or if you're a local looking for affordable, Irish-ish food and atmosphere. If you're looking for a more authentic Irish Pub experience and are willing to pay a bit more for great service and absolutely delicious fare, drive over to the Irish Penny in Salisbury.

Hawg Wings, Cobb Salad, Danny Boy Burger and their signature Crab Dip didn't disappoint. My daughter had the Portapont Fried Prawns...she said they were tastier, more of them and half the price Higgin's Crab House!

It's your standard faux Irish pub - good, but not spectacular. It's on the tourist-heavy area of the boardwalk, but the service is fast and friendly and you have the option to dine outside overlooking the beach or inside where the air is cool. I got their crab soup, which was a standard vegetable soup with very little crabmeat and their shrimp po' boy, which didn't utilize any local ingredients, but was still tasty enough. It's worth checking out if you're on the boardwalk, don't mind touristy restaurants, and have already been the Harrison's.

Cool Irish pub right on the boardwalk. It has a good variety of foods to order, which is sometimes harder to find with all the seafood-packed menus in Ocean City and is good for those non-seafood lovers. I tried an order of the crab dip for an appetizer. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've ever had nor the best I had on this particular vacation. For my meal I got an order of the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos. They were quite delicious. Could have been a bit more cabbage on the tacos but I feel as if the pineapple and spicy sauce complimented each other very well. I've been there twice and would make it a third.

Stopped in for a late lunch and it was great. The hubby & I shared a shrimp & crab spring rolls for an app. They were greasy but most spring rolls are but the seafood and cabbage were delish. Hubby ordered the Danny boy burger he said it was fantastic he ate everything came with chips too. I had the Irish crab cake and it was full of lump crabmeat no filler crap lightly fried lettuce tomato and chips. Def worth trying and we may be back this weekend.

Shenanigans is an adequate boardwalk restaurant. I don't expect fine dining when I am in OC, and if you want a mediocre lunch this is your place. We went with a big group and everyone was able to find something they liked. Pros: Friendly and attentive wait staff, cheap beer, outdoor seating Cons: small portion size (on fish sandwich), boring menu, odd smell when you enter the place

  • Rob G.

This is a good solid bar. It has seating on the boardwalk and pretty waitresses. The drinks are a bit pricey but not bad for the OC boardwalk. I would not say it actually adheres to the Irish pub model but it is a good place to drink nonetheless. Our bartender was awesome. I can't remember his name, but we had just come into town and he gave us great service and recommendations we used for the rest of our trip.

We went last night for dinner and sat outside. The food was good and came out in a timely matter. We both had the fish tacos which were great and the girls had chicken fingers. They had some nice brews on tap. It would have been a five star review, but our waitress was not friendly at all. Never said hi, just walked up and asked "ready to order"? She was annoyed when I asked for a second straw for one of the kids, she just seemed annoyed throughout the entire service, like she was irritated we were there.

Shenanigans is great, love eating outside along the boards! The waffle fries are fantastic and I got the prime rib sandwich with au jus - so yummy! Hubby had fish and chips and he was impressed. The waiter we had was really friendly and kept our glasses full. Might even end up back here again this week!

We visited this past week. The hostess was completely withdrawn from the few minutes we spent together, yawning and repeatedly asking me my name while not even looking in my direction, completely more interested in something behind her. Once we got past her, everything was wonderful. There were 5 people in my party, and we shared some apps, the crab dip, which was average and the pizza waffle fries which were good. I had a seafood fettuccine dish that was delicious. My daughter loved the shepherds pie. Everyone at the table loved it. My niece had a sandwich, which she also enjoyed. My sister had a Reuben, which she said was average and my other sister had fish and chips and she loved her dish. The menu had plenty of options. We enjoyed looking for our family crests on the wall and the Irish music. Our server was from Ireland and she was friendly and attentive. Her name was Sinead. I will definitely go back next summer.

Ordered the jerk chicken with cheese only. Received food, got chicken with onions no problem easily removed. Took a bite to find there was honey mustard between bottom bun and chicken-returned order back to the waitress. Waited 5 minutes and my new order came back but came back with fresh bun untoasted and my original chicken with the bite taken out... Are u serious...... Took back to waitress.... Finally got a new jerk chicken while the rest of my friends had already finished their meal...... We received the bill only to find out that they had not comped my meal....... Pissed to say the least had to tracked down waitress yet again to say of everything that had happened the least they could do was comp my meal-spoke to the manager and she told me that it was ok that I received my chicken that I had a bite taken from and that it was washed with water. I said I have an allergy. She was not sympathic and still didn't even want to comp. Top it off, hearing a waitor say they were short staffed and he had to return from his break is not something a consumer wants to hear. It's your job. Suck it up. I will not be returning to this place.

Went here with a group of friends over the weekend for dinner on a Friday night, and if you're looking do dine in an Irish pub, this is the place for you. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from any restaurant names Shenanigan's. There was a great bar that went the whole width, and then they had both booths and tables, with a space for live music. They guy they had playing there was great; he was playing crowd favorites and traditional Irish drinking songs. They food was greasy and delicious. I had the soft shell crab blt, which was absolutely incredible. Maryland crabs are always on point, and frying one up and making a blt out of it was genius. Servers were nice as well. I have no complaints, and I'd definitely go back again especially if I'm in the mood for an entertaining meal.

I am giving such high rating because we were hot as hell and could not find a place on the boardwalk with air conditioning. Then we stumbled upon this place and it was just what we needed...cool air and good food. Good size portions, inexpensive drinks ($5 premium liquor) and engaging live music. Good times were had and we would go back.

Best night in OC EVER! Shenanigan's is great way to spend a night out with friends that is guaranteed night of fun and laughter. The one man band was awesome as well. He had the entire restaurant singing and dancing. The service was amazing. Very friendly, outgoing and even played a joke on one of our friends. Amazing! I will not accept anything less than that for an Irish restaurant! My recommendations are: Starters: Guinness Gravy Fries and the Chili Cheezy Fries Entrees: Bangers and Mash. WHATTTTT!!!!! Fantastic! or the Shenanigan's Shepherd's Pie ( I ordered it without the cheese and extra Guinness Gravy on the side) very good!

Service was awful! The waitress was not friendly and gave a lack of service (drinks, food). She then tried to add the gratuity on after she took the credit card. She then got mad when I asked for the itemized check again. The food here was just OK, mi crab mac and cheese was awful as it had no taste and tons of shells in it. The burger was good and the beer decently prized (Stell was 5).

We were originally going to go back to Coconuts for lunch on our way out of OC, but decided to try something new. We walked down the boardwalk and ended up at Coconuts. We had a shrimp poboy and portabello sandwich (which was excellent), both with waffle fries (we love waffle fries). I tried a local beer, was was pretty good as well. We sat outside in the shade and there was a nice breeze to keep us cool. Inside the decor looked nice and they had a long bar area with TV's and such. Our waitress did a good job. Would not hesitate to stop here again on a future trip to OC.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat on the boardwalk that was not your typical boardwalk fare and found Shenanigans. I had the Shepherd's Pie which I always seem to get at an Irish Pub. The pie was very good with large chunks of tender beef. Even the topping of mashed potatoes and cheese was better than I have had at other places. Washed it down with two glasses of Smithwicks. My wife had the Crab Mac-N-Cheese which was also very good with alot of pieces of crab. Food came quickly (surprising for a boardwalk restaurant) and the waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth another visit when we visit Ocean City.

I was torn, I wanted to rate this place lower due to the fact that they bill themselves as an Irish pub but the waitress did know what Blackbush was and then served it loaded with ice, ruining a nice little whiskey. I gave it 3 stars because of the food and service. My mahi mahi tacos were very good. My wife got ribs, which were tasty but a little hard to get off the bone. Decent beer selection and the mrs. had some frozen mixed drink she really liked. Service was quick and very friendly, boardwalk seating was nice, too. A seagull pooped on us but I can't really blame the restaurant for that.

Shenanigan's is lots of fun, with pretty good food. We really go for the entertainment, but I have to say I quite enjoyed my portabello sandwich this year. And with a newly added veggie burger, I'm even more excited to go back! Try to go when Gerry Malone is playing - whatever name his band is taking on that year. :) The other bands are great, but Malone really just makes the evening. There's usually a wait, but where is there not in Ocean City? We were a little disappointed that the band didn't start until 9:45 this year (scheduled at 9:30). We seem to remember them starting at 9:00, which would be SO much better for our goal of combining dinner and entertainment. :) Hopefully they will switch back.

After sitting outside for 30 minutes and not receiving a visit from the wait staff we left. We are in OC for our anniversary and Sunfest and were looking for a casual lunch and couldn't even get served. Having been to the bar numerous times I know this isn't the expectation but it's very disappointing. The manager/hostess should do a better job of assigning seating areas to wait staff.

Hubby says, "I call shenanigans on Shenanigan's!" Being the mature adults we are, we HAD to go to Shenanigan's because of Super Trooper's: Captain Hagan: I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " Shenanigans." Mac: Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks? Farva: You mean Shenanigans? Mac: OOH. Thorny: OOH. Don't get me wrong, I loved the ambiance; this place has a great feel to it. The kind of "you're one of us" vibe that makes you feel like you can take your shirt off and dance on the bar, is very cozy, but the food and service get a 'meh' rating from me and thus shoot one of the stars in the foot. Being able to see happy people on the patio and the bustling crowds on the Boardwalk is enough to make you want to order a beer and join the group, but our joy was cut short when hubby asked, "did you see that?' Yep. Right after we ordered, our young waiter apparently had an itch and chose to not so inconspicuously scratch himself right in front of us. We forgave him thinking it was obviously an upper-thigh itch and not what we really thought it was and chose not to think about it any longer. I was in a particularly crabby mood, so I got the crab dip and surprise, surprise, the 2 snow crab clusters. Hubby got a tuna sandwich which tasted incredibly bland to me with a side of pathetic wilted asparagus. The dip was good, but not amazing; the bread was actually better than the dip. I felt that the snow crab meal did not come properly equipped. I sat there with a set of plastic shell crackers and a wooden mallet, and sadly, I felt like a surgeon sent into operation wielding a butter knife and a band-aid. Maybe this is how it's done, but I had some trouble getting to my dinner. Keeping the crotch-grabbing out of mind, the service was ok. He left us stranded without ketchup for fries and neglected to give us refills. We were sad and thirsty. If I were to go again, I would definitely order something else and sit at the bar where I could not be ignored. Like I said, the decor was pretty cool; I especially liked looking at the hundreds of Irish coat of arms above the bar to see if there was one that matched our last name and I found an alternate spelling! One funny thing I'd like to point out about the menu was the Patsy Fagan's Fruit and Cheese Platter....is the name a coincidence? I think no. Good for a one-time stop, but if you really want some great food and can ignore ugly decor, walk right across the street and go to Boardwalk Joe's. You can get an awesome Gyro and delicious wings - so good I ate there twice and had the exact same thing both times.

Crabcake was DISGUSTING. I couldn't eat the yellow sauce that was underneath. It was like a small ball of fried batter. It was about $17. My boyfriend ordered the bangers and potatoes. He said it was pretty good. That is where they get 1 star from. The second is from the atmosphere and the fact that thank GOD I had a coupon. I would have been highly upset to pay that much money for something I couldn't eat. It took atleast 20 extra min before the waitress could get the manager to take the coupon off the bill because she forgot. Might be a good place to drink and hangout though. If you want a good crab cake come to BALTIMORE. O.C is over priced and they tase awful.

Liked it the first time I went, three years ago. Liked it even better the second time, two weeks ago. Great location on boardwalk. Sat outside. Excellent soft crab sandwiches. There were five of us and we all ordered the sandwich a little differently, some with butter instead of mayo, different breads, some with bacon some without, etc. All were made and delivered exactly as ordered. Good service. Cold beer. Reasonable prices.

We went here for late lunch on a Saturday and I honestly hadn't been expecting too much out of it. I was surprised at how much we all liked it! The food was all good, nothing spectacular, but definitely really good. Our table ordered mussels, crab mac n cheese, chicken tenders, and a chicken sandwich (the sandwich was really yummy, but i forget what it is called), but the best food was an order of fries with their Guinness gravy. Yum!! The drinks were great, the serve was awesome, and the price was right. I will definitely be going back here.

Well it wasn't bad, very nice server and attentive. No option to add cheese to the fries and they charge extra for a whole grain bun. That charge may have been listed on the menu, but I never thought to look. No option for a lettuce wrap either. The burgers were good and actually cooked as ordered. Usually when I asked for a medium burger I get it medium well. I got a medium burger so that was great. My husband had "excellent crab cakes". Good for a quick meal on the board walk but had to wait at least 30 mins when they originally told us 15-20, and it seems as though there were open tables, we asked for first available.

This place was shockingly great!! I am not the Ocean City kind of vacationer, but came with a friend who had to go to a conference here. We decided to go out drinking on a Friday night, horrified at all of the drunken frat boys with mardi gras beads and their tantarded chicks clomping around the beach in heels and booty shorts with ironic things like "hottie" scrawled across the seat of their too tiny shirts. We came across Shenanigan's and were romanced by the outside deck and the sights of everyone eating massive crab legs dripping with butter. Yes please table for two. Even though the place was very very busy, they service was really prompt and friendly, the prices reasonable. After polishing off a massive pile of crab legs, we ventured inside to drink and be merry since the eating was out of the way. The atmosphere was perfected by the live Irish band. The bartenders are really fun, they seem happy to serve people that arent screaming at the top of their lungs about spring break or girls night or chicks. We had a great time, doing shots with the bartenders here while making fun of douchbags and had hairdos. Both of which there are no shortage of in this town. I will definitely come back here if I make it back to Ocean Shitty....oops...I mean City.

You know, this place was not bad. It was actually clean, which was more than I expected from any Ocean City bar. The music was a one-man band who had the entire audience in his hands. Marty McKernan or something. I highly recommend going to see him. I did not have food but the drinks were fine and the service was great, too.

Five of my friends and I were out at a beach house in Delaware for the weekend and decided to head into Ocean City for the evening, mostly to take in the boardwalk. And since there's really only so much funnel cake (on the ground) and trashy teeshirts (on display) that I need to see in one evening, we tried to escape to Shenanigan's, which sounds funny, if tasteless. But we were hoping that their mint julep special would transport us from this depressing, drunken, off-season slough of despond, that is the Ocean City boardwalk, to the Kentucky Derby, which at least pretends to be classy. But sadly, our six out-of-state IDs were rejected as fake. Our bartender held them up to the light, bent them almost to the point of breaking, AND checked with his manager, who majored in forensics no doubt, to see if they were real. I know some bars use that oh-so-uncertain technique of swiping the cards to see if they're in the national registry, but they don't countenance such quack science here. And I don't blame them. Who needs non-falsifiable means of evaluating the legitimacy of IDs? But if you want epistemological certainty, you might just pick out the city slickers who are only ironically walking the boardwalk or trying to drink mint juleps at an "Irish" pub with shepherd's pie and tacky stuff on the walls. Surely neither they nor their IDs know authenticity.

Food was pretty good for a boardwalk. I highly recommend the crab MAC and cheese. The reuben sandwich our table ordered was well prepared and toasted. The service was excruciatingly slow. No drink refills and it took us over an hour an a half to get out of there. Give yourself loads of time and lots of patience.

Live Music (The Rovers!) + Good Food + Magners must = Shenanigan's on a warm summer night! We find ourselves frequenting this establishment when in OC and this night was no different. This evening I opted for the Irish cheese & fresh fruit platter - three different cheeses, loads of crackers and more fruit then we could handle made this a great dish to nibble on while washing it down with a Magners Hard Cider over the Celtic sounds of the Rovers (from Annapolis). We always finish our meals here off with a hefty slice of authentic Smith Island Cake - tonight's flavor was the Oreo Cookie Cake. I prefer the Peanut Butter Cake, but this comes as a close second! Our server David was attentive and friendly. Overall a great evening out in a funtastic Irish pub!

Awesome food in OC. Went back several times for deliciousness. Crab dip was yummy although I am not a connoisseur of such things. I had a Sheleighly green sweet drink and wanted more :) As for the food, I had Noah's Melody and I loved the abundance of cucumbers and chicken inside the wrap. Also the Danny Boy Burger was no nonsense meat and plenty of Gorgonzola to make your mouth water for days after you've had it. We were stuffed by the end of it all so had no chance to try dessert. Service was great both times we went there; Stacie and Leah are two of the best waitresses there so try to sit with them because they will cater to all your needs no matter how picky you are :) All in all this place rocks.

(06/08/2011) For OC, food is actually pretty good and reasonably priced. What is really recommended though, is a seat outside overlooking the boardwalk; best people watching around. We were in plain view of the balloon animal guy, a young, down-on-his-luck, stoner-dude street guitarist playing Eddie Vedder covers, and a teenage couple vocally and vulgarly breaking up on their way to a house party; and it's prime eavesdropping territory (booths are a little tight). We were entertained for at least 10 minutes by six 15 year-old girls trying to split a check and calculate a 15% tip; I fear for the future of America. The "Celtic" Cobb Salad, with steak, was enormous, had lots of fresh avocado, and did not skimp on other toppings, especially the chopped egg and blue cheese crumbles. The fish on the fish and chips was a very large haddock filet, crisp, hot, flaky on the inside, nice Guiness "ketchup" to go with. The veggie burger (come on, it's a frozen veggie burger), well, it was "pretty". Beers were tall and cold (they have a great selection), service was prompt and friendly. Well, worth a stop if you're hungry or thirsty during your boardwalk ambulations.

My favorite watering hole in Ocean City. Great beers on tap, friendly staff, great food. Pony up to the bar and grab a Guinness, or grab a table out on the deck and enjoy the views. HIGHLY recommend.

I liked this place for it's relaxed atmosphere. The food was not bad. I will tell you this, if you're into frozen drinks (we all try them from time to time) try their frozen shellali (yeah it's spelled wrong but it's phonetic). Kiwi drink with lots of strong stuff in it. Me? yeah I tried one but Guiness is my poison of choice.

Shenanigan's kind of has the typical decor of any "Irish" pub. Their drink selection is great and not bad in price. I'm not sure about their fish dishes but everything else is pretty good am not sure why the people on here are complaining. I come back here during the summer because they have great service and are very clean. Also, the entertainment is usually pretty good.

Great food right on the beach. Best crab cakes I had while I was in town. Cool Irish vibe. Wish I could have stopped in later at the bar without the kids.

I was so excited to go to Shenanigan's. I heard nothing but great things. The food was good for the price. We went there with a Bachelorette party and the service was horrible. They split us up our with a promise that when the larger table opens up we can move. This didn't happen. We receive nothing but attitude from the manager. We wound up leaving and took our business elsewhere.

I laughed out loud at several of the the comments already posted here - so true!Overlooking the goofy name of this place and the requisite decor (although the plaques are nice) and the failure to doodle in the foam of my Guinness (yes, I contributed to the illusion by ordering Guinness!) this pub passed muster pretty well. The location is great and it is a nice diversion from the "FREE HUGS" tshirted mongrels that patrol the boards. The food was good, the band great but by far the best part of being here was the wait staff. Our waitress was an extremely charming and lovely Irish lass who could not have been more cute - she pulled off sexy (in her green tshirt, shorts, Irishy socks and well-worn Chuck Taylors) without being anywhere near sexy - a combination the world needs more of. Her accent nearly caused me to slide out of my booth. People sang, clapped and hooted to the band ( "Off The Boat" ) as they ran through almost every classic Irish pub song. The Unicorn Song had many of the waitresses and a few customers on their feet doing the goofy motions. The great thing was that the staff seemed to actually enjoy themselves, their fun and their jobs. I would most certainly come back here.

Crab dip $11 and small. Our server wasn't as attentive as she should have been. For the money/serving size go elsewhere!

Like most restaurants along the boardwalk in Ocean City this place is a watered down version of most Irish pub-style eateries. I had the bangers and mash which were alright if not for being so boring. The champ was no different than what comes out of a box of instant mashed potatoes. We sat outside which is a great opportunity in O.C. given the alcohol fueled crowds that populate the boardwalk at any given minute.

I like this place only because of the entertainment they have during the on-season. I'd describe the food as typical bar/club food with a little extra on the menu to draw the families in. I had the chicken sandwich the last time I stopped in with friends, it was just OK. If you're on the boardwalk, which is very limited wrt any decent restaurants to begin with, I'd recommend this place for a quick bite to eat. If you're looking to hang out with friends and family in a PG rated atmosphere to drink beer and listen to Irish folk singing, I'd recommend this place. If you're driving from North OC specifically to eat here, it's not worth it. Parking near the restaurant on a prime summer weekend is nearly impossible. Plan on walking from the inlet or paying for private parking in a nearby dirt lot. My last visit came as a shocker when the waitress told me they didn't have Killian's beer. I wasn't able to get out her whether or not they were out (which would be even more odd) or they just no longer carry this Irish beer at this Irish Pub. If it weren't for the entertainment I'd give them two stars.

Right on the board walk. We went there for lunch and it was TERRBILE. I've never had anything this bad before. I ordered fish taco and did not like it!

For excellent authentic Irish dishes, Burgers, Bangers, Pub Favorites (like Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie and more) and Seafood Dishes, make sure you head to Shenanigan's at 4th Street and Boardwalk in the Shoreham Hotel. They also have the best in live entertainment, featuring authentic Irish music, if you're not already there, you'll be walking up the boards later in the evening to the toe tapping, energetic sounds of live Irish music, and won't be able to help yourself stopping in to raise a drink and join the festivities!

I've been here a few times for dinner and their food has been consistently decent. Anything with waffle fries is good. I strongly recommend their chili cheese fries or just the chili if that's what you want. The cobb salad was okay. The service is usually fine. They have a nice outdoor seating area. Not bad!

Location location location. Average food at best and certainly no Molly Darcy's but on the boardwalk on the beach, clean, and fun.

Shenanigan's on 4th St is one of the best spots I have found in OC. There are not too many places that you can dine along the board walk, watch the ocean and enjoy great food. Everything I have had there has always been awesome. It is a MUST that you try the Guinness Gravy Fries.

We've been going to Shenanigans for 20 years. We've only had poor service one time. In fact, the service is one of the things that keeps us coming back year after year. The other thing is the food! They have the best burgers I've ever had, hands down. The fish and chips is always great, and so is the shrimp basket -- I can never finish it. My one daughter always gets the seafood linguini, or the portabello sandwich. The other daughter loves the crab soup, crab dip, and the Gafton's Delight dessert, which I agree are very tasty stuff. Their corned beef is always lean. The waffle fries are great, and they really know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness. The prices are reasonable too. The only thing that disappointed me was the crab cake in the Irish Diversion entree. They roll it in flour (weird?) and it was pretty small and not real crabby. Otherwise, chef Mike makes some very good food, and he usually has an off-menu special, and a soup du jour. All in all, we LOVE Shenanigans and make a point to stop in there at least once during our vacations. The entertainment at night is always fun, too.

This place is A OK, convenient right the on the boardwalk with kids meals and something for everyone. They have a dining room, bar seating and outdoor seating. The waitress was very fast and attentitive.
